British Blind Sport National VI Youth Swimming Gala

The British Blind Sport National Visually Impaired (VI) Youth Swimming Gala will take place on Saturday 30 March 2019 in Birmingham. This event has been successfully held for over 20 years and is the only VI specific youth swimming competition in the UK. Open to all abilities, whether you are a beginner or competitive swimmer, come and have a go! 

The gala will take place on Saturday 30 March from 12:30pm-5pm. Free entry for all blind and partially sighted children aged between 5 to 17 years old.

Swimming events for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle relay and medley relay 25m, 50m and 100m. The gala restricted to swimmers aged between 8 and 17 years old and can confidently swim 25m.

Lessons will also be on offer for those children aged 5-17, who may not feel confident enough to take part in the swimming gala but would like to learn the basic principles of how to swim.
