Interactive announce new Chief Executive

Interactive is very pleased to announce that Rebecca Dance-Shuker has been appointed as its new Chief Executive. Rebecca, who will leave her role as Head of Programme Development at Fulham Football Club Foundation, brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. She will be joining Interactive in early March.

At Fulham she was integral in making the Foundation a market leader in community sport and achieving their mission of “Building Better Lives Through Sport”, she also was central in embedding disability equality in sport into all that the Foundation does. Rebecca is a passionate leader, a sharp strategic thinker and her track-record shows that she will be in a strong position to drive Interactive forward.

Of her appointment Rebecca says:

“I am hugely excited about taking up the challenge of building on all that Interactive has achieved so far. I have, since it’s launch, been a massive advocate of Inclusive and Active 2 and have seen for my self the difference it is making at both a political and, more importantly, at a grass roots level. I really savour the opportunity to move both Interactive and Inclusive and Active 2 forward and I look forward to working with all of the organisation’s stakeholders to create disability equality in sport in London and nationally.”

Interactive’s Chair Tracey McCillen, says the appointment process was a formidable one and the appointment of Ms. Dance-Shuker marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Interactive:
