Step Change Studios celebrating International Day

The Design Museum in London will celebrate the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a wheelchair ballroom dance performance by Step Change Studios. Taking place in its stunning central atrium on 3 December at 2pm, visitors can have a go too.

People taking part in a Step Change Studios session

There is a free, fun inclusive ballroom dance workshop for all ages and abilities in the first floor Design Studio at 2.30pm.

Step Change Studios, which provides opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people to dance together, has created a fun, original dance performance with its wheelchair dance students especially for this celebration.

Rashmi Becker, Founder of Step Change Studios said:

“We are really excited to be partnering with the Design Museum to highlight inclusive dance in an inclusive, iconic space. I set up Step Change Studios to provide more accessible opportunities to dance. Our dancers are excited to be performing but we’re also looking forward to welcoming people to our free drop-in dance taster session and will be encouraging visitors to have a go."
