New video: EFDS Celebrates International Volunteer Day

Today is International Volunteer Day and this year’s theme is #VolunteersActFirst. The United Nations' (UN) International Volunteer Day, established in 1985, is celebrated on 5 December each year to recognise volunteer contributions around the globe. The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) is marking it with comments from volunteers in sport.

The United Nations promotes and coordinates this special day and it is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, government authorities and the private sector.
