New educational videos for teachers
Activity Alliance celebrates World Teacher’s Day (Friday 5 October) with the release of two new educational videos for the Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE Training Programme. The new videos will support teachers and school staff to ensure they deliver inclusive PE and school sport for all young disabled people.
The Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE Training Programme aims to improve the knowledge and skills of PE teachers, trainee teachers and school staff, so they are confident in providing a high quality PE curriculum for all young people - ensuring all pupils are appropriately challenged and supported.
Activity Alliance worked with creative agency Fuzzy Duck to produce the new videos, which guide teachers and school staff through the STEP Tool and Activity Inclusion Model, and how to apply it to their PE lessons.
The videos feature on the new Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE Training online platform, alongside a range of interactive e-learning resources for users to access. The videos will also be used during the delivery of the Sainsbury’s Active Kids for All Inclusive PE practical workshops.

The Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE Training Programme is managed by Activity Alliance and delivered across the UK in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust and Home Countries disability sport organisations. The programme is supported by the British Paralympic Association and £1.6 million investment from Sainsbury’s.
Since the initiative was established in 2013, over 12,200 teachers, trainee teachers and school staff across the UK have attended a free three hour practical workshop.
