Why run for our events programme- Disability Sport Events?

Adapted sport

The English Federation of Disability sport has a vision that disabled people are active for life. Why not use the most active day of your life to help provide more opportunities for disabled people to be active too?

Disability Sport Events (DSE), EFDS's events programme, provides participation opportunities for disabled people to take part in sport at whatever level they choose. As a self-funded programme, DSE relies on your generosity through grants, donations and other fundraising initiatives to continue our much-needed work.

Support

We provide lots of support for our runners to help you achieve your personal race goal and also your fundraising target.

  • A welcome pack filled with fundraising advice
  • A free EFDS running vest
  • Free EFDS t-shirts for your supporters who attend on the day
  • Regular emails from the EFDS events team
  • A reception at the end of the race where refreshments and a well earned massage will await you

We only have a limited number of places in the event, so please apply now for the best chance of securing that spot.

If you are lucky enough to have your own place through the ballot and would like to raise money to help increase sporting opportunities for disabled people, we would love to have you join us. You will still receive all the great support that comes with being part of the EFDS team.

To avoid disappointment, please email your interest by Friday 17 January 2014.
