Disability Festival at Gosling Sports Park

On Saturday 2 November, Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City is running a festival including lots of different sports for disabled people to try out. There will be taster sessions in tennis, golf, football, badminton, trampolining and many more. The event is expected to attract up to 50 people with physical and intellectual impairments.

The Gosling Disability Festival runs from 10am to 3pm.

Claire Smith, Gosling’s sport and activities manager, said:

“We offer a wide range of sports for both non-disabled and disabled people here at Gosling and the festival is a great way to showcase that and provide people with a chance to try them out and find out what they enjoy.”

Tennis, golf and football taster sessions will take place between 10am and 12 noon with trampolining, badminton, fun rings on the Park’s dry ski slope and other activities running from 1pm to 3pm.

Volunteers and staff will be on hand to lend support to those with physical impairments. To talk through particular needs please email them in the first instance.
