Deighton Bright Stars Table Tennis Club achieve first certificates

Deighton Bright Stars Learning Disabilities Table Tennis Club has taken all their participants through their basic drills, skills and coordination table tennis certificates.

The club was set up earlier in the year and is involved in the West Yorkshire Sport Creating Connections Programme as a focus club in the Kirklees district. From this the club has been going from strength to strength building the number of participants up and identifying players who will potentially start competing in the sport competitively.

Abbi Andiyapan, Sport Development Officer said:

‘The club have been fantastic and worked really well in the creating connections project, they have showed constant involvement in community events and have engaged well with all participants and community groups. It is fantastic to see all the participants to receive these certificates and continue to progress in the sport’.
