Activity Alliance seeking a Trustee with financial expertise

There has never been a better time to join our charity as a Board member for Activity Alliance. We have moved on leaps and bounds in our 20 years’ existence. Activity Alliance has not only improved its financial status but increased the programmes and partnerships making waves across different sectors. The charity is in an exciting period and our new strategy needs dynamic Board members to turn our vision into reality.

Our philosophy of inclusion starts with our Board and works its way throughout our Alliance. We encourage diversity of thought and culture and want our Board to represent modern Britain. The image of much older people with time and money to devote to charities is not what we are about. Activity Alliance is one of the charities aiming to show this is an old-fashioned view of Boards and its meetings.

Our current Board includes expertise in the commercial, sport development, disability, health and education sectors. They are disabled and non-disabled people, who come together a minimum of six times a year. The Board meetings are professional, informative and often fun! Our Board enjoy their time making active lives possible alongside our enthusiastic staff team. Together, we are a mixture of older and young people with a passion for change.

It does not matter if you have never been a Board member before - it is not the main consideration! It is your skills that are important, not necessarily your lifelong experience. We are searching for a passionate, committed, high-calibre individual with a strong strategic finance background with a formal accountancy qualification.
