RDA is ‘example of excellence’ says Sport England's CEO

The Chief Executive of Sport England, Jennie Price, has acknowledged the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) as an ‘example of excellence in disability sport’. In a speech to RDA volunteers, participants and staff at the charity’s AGM, Jennie Price thanked all those involved saying: “What you do is remarkable and we are extremely grateful.”

Price was invited to speak at the AGM to launch a new pilot initiative called ‘Accessibility Mark’, a Sport England-funded project to enable more disabled people to get involved in horse riding at commercial riding centres. Accessibility Mark will be delivered by RDA in partnership with the BEF’s legacy project, Hoof.

Jennie Price acknowledged the challenges faced by organisations like RDA as they try to meet growing demand for their services – without compromising on service – and praised RDA’s approach to the Accessibility Mark as ‘thoughtful and responsible’.
