The Programmes Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of an exciting new digital programme with world renowned Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

The new programme, following a successful pilot, is designed to provide tailored individual support for 150 young people and universal provision for a larger cohort of young people who are receiving hospital care or awaiting care for either physical or mental health conditions at Alder Hey Hospital.

Reporting to the Head of Programmes and Impact, the post holder will also have an opportunity to support seeking additional future funding for the programme at Alder Hey as well as supporting the plan to roll the offer out to other children’s hospitals.

The role requires someone with experience of delivering multi stakeholder community programmes for young people. Ideally the post holder will have experience of working within the health sector. Experience of supporting young people through digital solutions is also desirable. This is a hands-on role and requires working directly with young people at Alder Hey on a regular basis. The role is split between being based at Alder Hey and home working.
