Take part in our Inclusive Reopening survey

Working with Britain Thinks we are exploring how disabled people and people with long-term health conditions can be included in physical activity as we look to recover from the pandemic.

Our most recent research project ‘Inclusive Reopening’ is well underway. Working with Britain Thinks, we are conducting a multi-phase research study. The goal is to explore how disabled people and people with health conditions interact with organised physical activity as we recover from the pandemic.

This research project consists of four phases:

  • Workshops with our members
  • An online community with disabled people
  • A survey with providers and deliverers
  • A co-production workshop bringing together disabled people and providers.

If you are directly or indirectly involved in delivering organised activities to disabled people, we want to hear from you. This includes coaches, instructors, volunteers, as well as professionals working for providers or strategic organisations.

We want to hear about your experience of delivering organised physical activity to disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.

We want to know:

  • The extent to which you offered inclusive provision prior to the pandemic
  • The impact the pandemic has had on your ability to offer inclusive delivery
  • The key challenges you now face in offering inclusive delivery
  • What support and tools could help you provide more inclusive opportunities.

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. This timely research will be co-produced with disabled people. A set of recommendations will be produced to support the sport and physical activity sector in ensuring everyone is included in organised physical activity as we recover and reinvent from the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can take part in our inclusive reopening survey here - this link takes you to another website to fill out the survey.

The survey will stay open until 11:59pm on Sunday 10 April.
