Activity Alliance welcomes two new trustees
Activity Alliance is proud to announce the appointment of Ian Mullane and Reena Parmar to its Board of trustees. Appointed in September, their combined professional expertise and lived experience will help drive meaningful change for disabled people in sport and activity.

Introducing Ian Mullane
Ian Mullane brings a wealth of experience in finance, technology, and entrepreneurship. He has held trustee roles for over 12 years and has a strong personal connection to inclusive sport.
Ian’s career began with 15 years in finance and technology before moving into entrepreneurship and founding Vanda Sports Group in Asia – a sports marketing firm working with clients from Premier League football teams, the ATP Tour, and Formula One. He then went on to establish Locowise, a social media analytics platform adopted by many of the world’s largest agencies and brands. In 2018, Ian founded Keepme, an AI-powered sales and marketing platform for the global fitness sector.
Alongside his executive career, Ian has held several non-executive and trustee roles. He currently sits on the board of GymNation, the Middle East’s fastest-growing fitness operator, and served for more than a decade on the Board of the Children’s Surgical Centre, a non-governmental organisation in Cambodia.
Sport has been a consistent thread in Ian’s life. He was part of the coaching team for the Singapore National Cerebral Palsy Football Team, coached at a national level with the Singapore Boxing Association, and spent three years coaching youth football on Merseyside. These experiences have shaped his commitment to making sport inclusive and accessible for all.
We asked Ian why he wanted to become a member of the Activity Alliance Board:
“Sport and activity participation has always been an important part of my life,” said Ian. “As a father of a daughter with cerebral palsy, I understand firsthand the positive impact that sport and exercise has on quality of life and outcomes.
“When Activity Alliance suggested they were looking for trustees with AI and technology experience, it felt like a perfect opportunity. Here was an organisation I believed in, where I could contribute meaningfully through my decades of professional experience.
This combination of personal understanding and professional expertise made joining as a trustee feel like a natural fit.”
Introducing Reena Parmar
Reena Parmar is a solicitor with 22 years of experience and currently serves as Counsel in a leading global law firm. She is a multi-award-winning advocate for diversity and inclusion and chairs The Law Society of England and Wales Disabled Solicitors Network.
In addition to her professional experience, Reena brings lived experience of disability and caring responsibilities that has profoundly shaped her perspective. She found her journey of adjusting as a disabled adult to be isolating and, as a result, developed a passion for ensuring people have the support they need to thrive.
We asked Reena why she wanted to become a Trustee:
“As someone who identifies as disabled with non-visible disabilities, and who is the primary carer for a disabled parent and for two neurodivergent teenage boys, I understand the unique challenges and barriers faced by disabled people and their families,” said Reena.
“I believe that sport and activity are powerful tools for inclusion, confidence, and wellbeing, and I’m committed to breaking down structural and systemic barriers to create a more inclusive environment for disabled people in sport and activity.”
Together, Ian and Reena strengthen Activity Alliance’s mission to build a movement for change and make sports and activities more accessible and inclusive for disabled people.
