England Athletics offers deaf friendly course for leadership in running

England Athletics, the National Governing Body for athletics is offering a deaf friendly Leadership in Running Fitness training course for deaf and hard of hearing people interested in leading running sessions for groups.

On Saturday 14 November, England Athletics is running a one day, deaf friendly Leadership in Running Fitness training course at Cockburn High School in Leeds. 

The Leadership in Running Fitness course will enable you to deliver fun and safe sessions to multi-ability groups. Give advice and support to new runners, as well as develop pathways for those who want to progress. It focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to participation in running and how to increase particpation for those not traditionally attracted to a running club.

As a deaf friendly course, communications support and interpreters will be available on the day.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, interested in running for fitness and would like to lead group running sessions, then this is the course for you.

The course costs £155 per person (£135 for England Athletics affiliated club members).
