DSAuk releases documentary about National Dwarf Games

Dwarf Sports Association UK (DSAuk) has released a new documentary about the National Dwarf Games 2015. It features interviews with participants, parents and organisation founders Penny and Arthur Dean OBE.

The ten minute film titled 'Walking Tall' documents DSAuk's biggest event in their sporting calendar, the National Dwarf Games. Created by university student Steph Brunzel as part of her honours degree in media studies, the film captures footage from the 2015 Games held in Birmingham earlier this year.

DSAuk is the National Disability Sports Organisation (NDSO) for people with restricted growth and dwarfism in the UK. They aim to make regular sporting opportunities accessible and enjoyable for everyone with restricted growth in the UK.

Restricted growth is believed to affect between 3,000 and 6,000 people in the UK, with approximately one in 25,000 babies born with the most common form of dwarfism, Achondroplasia.

DSAuk encourages people with restricted growth to be more active, providing advice and information on sporting opportunities, as well as running an annual programme of national and regional level events.
