Pride of Sport Awards announce Disabled Sports Person shortlist

On Wednesday 25 November 2015, the Pride of Sport Awards will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. It promises to be an outstanding event, and three disabled sports people will be a part of the glamorous night. They have been shortlisted for the Disabled Sports Person Award.

They are:

Lewis Eccles:

Lewis is just 14. He has autism, ADHD and dyspraxia and is already beating adult disabled golfers in national championships. Lewis, from Mexborough, competed in the Golf Trust UK Disabled Open at The Shire in London in July having won the junior trophy at the event for the previous two years. He plays national level in disability golf and at the World Special Olympic Games this summer he won a silver medal. In August, he won the UK Disabled Open championships and the British Disabled Open four days later.

Natasha Coates:

Natasha is a gymnast. She continues to enjoy her sport and has won back-to-back British titles in disability gymnastics. Her sporting career has been interrupted on many occasions, repeatedly hopitalised due to a series of anaphylactic reactions.
