Girls4Gold: Disability Athletics seeking talented disabled sports women

Girls4Gold: Disability Athletics aims to identify exceptional sporting talent capable of winning medals at future Paralympic Games. Do you have the desire, commitment and sporting potential to compete for Great Britain?

Girls4Gold is a talent ID campaign from The Performance Pathway Team - a collaboration between UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). It supports World Class Programmes to identify and develop talented athletes and the construction of the underpinning support systems. Funded as part of UK Sport’s eight year strategic investment into development, the Performance Pathway Team’s work focuses on the 714 development (Podium Potential) athletes, and their coaches and managers who have the capacity to impact on future Olympic and Paralympic games.

UK Sport and English Institute of Sport are looking for talented disabled females who currently compete in any sport and who think that they have what it takes to become a Paralympic champion.

They are predominantly searching for females aged 16–35 who use a wheelchair or are of short stature, and have a background in sport or physical training. Applicants must be fit, powerful and strong, mentally tough and competitive and up for a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a part of Britain’s sporting elite.
