West Yorkshire enjoys disability Fun Day success

A Disability Fun Day, as part of West Yorkshire Sport's Creating Connections, was held at Richard Dunn Centre, Bradford on Saturday 15 March 2014. It was a free day of disability sports sessions including boccia, tennis, cricket, football, athletics, new age curling, power chair football and cycling all offered from local clubs.

The day was an opportunity to try a range of different sports and participants could also sign up to join clubs if they enjoyed a particular session.

There was also information from local clubs and other activities including a bouncy castle, interactive zone, Jamie’s Ministry of Food, entertainer, face painter, visit from fire brigade, cafe and free healthy snacks taster sessions.

The event was attended by nearly 100 participants, parents and carers and all enjoyed a great, fun day.
