#PlayWheelchairBasketball. Why do you play wheelchair basketball?

Skilful. Strength. Fun. Teamwork. Support. Confidence. No Barriers. With more people than ever before taking to the court, we are delighted to join British Wheelchair Basketball in launching their new video: #PlayWheelchairBasketball.

One of the leading blue-ribbon Paralympic sports and an action-packed, fast-paced, team game, the UK’s wheelchair basketball community continues to grow with more and more people getting involved both on and off the court.

Every player, official and coach – past, current, and future – brings their own story, but as soon as they push out onto the basketball court they join a team that offers something for everyone.

Whether you’re looking to play socially, competitively, or on the pathway to representing Great Britain, with over 130 clubs across the UK your starting point will not be far away – and it’s easy to find your local club here

No matter what your age or experience of the sport, with a four division National League, Premier League, and the world’s largest leagues of their kind in the Women’s League and The Lord’s Taverners Junior League (U15 and U19), everyone is able to experience the immeasurable excitement of game day.

In addition, with non-disabled players allowed to compete domestically, wheelchair basketball offers the invaluable opportunity for friends and family to play alongside one another.
