New Year, new sport, new club?

It’s the New Year, so time to scout around for an opportunity to take up a new sport or other physical activity, and perhaps join a new club in order to meet people and have fun.

Disability Sports Coach (DSC)’s Community Clubs, 13 in total across 12 London boroughs, are open to all ages from 11 years upwards.

The pan-disability Clubs cater for both children and adults who want to try something new or hone existing sporting skills.

Starting this year, Community Clubs will follow a more structured sporting programme in order to prepare participants for an Easter Inter-Club fun day and beyond.

This will also give participants the opportunity to try a wider range of sports and find out which activities they are strongest at.

And you never know – do really well and you could be representing your Club at fun days in upcoming school holidays.

Peter Ackred, Disability Sports Coach CEO, said:

“The Club project is doing a brilliant job in providing sports to anyone with a disability - I am looking forward to seeing the Clubs come together to compete at fun days later in the year”

Disability Sports Coach provide high quality sporting opportunities for disabled people throughout the UK.

Since DSC began work in 2005, it has supported and delivered to over 60,000 disabled people.
