YST and EFDS partner to launch the School Games Inclusive Health Check
An exciting new resource has been designed in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust and English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS). The Inclusive Health Check supports those involved in the School Games' organisation to include more young disabled people.
The Inclusive Health Check outlines the core underpinnings of an inclusive School Games offer. It highlights the key role schools, School Games Organisers and Local Organising Committees can play in an inclusive School Games pathway for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
This resource takes the form of a 'health check' posing a series of critical questions specific to each role. Guidance is structured to help align the resource and facilitate the development of a pathway that is both progressive and complimentary through Level 1, 2 and 3.
