This eLearning course supports you to develop and deliver a more inclusive activity offer where disabled and non-disabled people can be active together. It draws on learning and best practice from Activity Alliance programmes and initiatives.
About the course
This online course is made up of four units. Each is designed to increase your knowledge and confidence on how to effectively develop and deliver an inclusive activity offer. They include:
- Introduction - Find out more about good practice from Activity Alliance’s Get Out Get Active (GOGA) programme, the importance of being active, the Equality Act, and Activity Alliance’s Talk to Me Principles.
- Designing your offer - Understand more about local needs and demand for activities, the audiences you’re targeting, how to engage them and developing your offer.
- Preparing to deliver your offer - Learn key delivery principles, explore the wider considerations of being inclusive for your organisation and workforce, understand how to cover costs and promote your offer.
- Sustaining your offer - Successfully maintain your offer and manage its growth.
You will receive 1.5 CIMSPA CPD pointS on completion.
Who is this course for?
People or organisations who support the delivery of sport and physical activity at a local level, who want to create inclusive activities for disabled and non-disabled people to be active together. Including people who:
- Work or volunteer for community organisations, local sports clubs, and charities that directly deliver sport and physical activity.
- Offer direct support and guidance to organisations that deliver activities like local authorities, National Governing Bodies, Active Partnerships and national charities.
