Disability Sports Organisations and charities are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Access Sport to Deliver Impact Programme for Birmingham 2026
Access Sport is proud to be a delivery partner for Beyond, the official impact programme of the European Athletics Championships, Birmingham 2026.
With support from UK Sport and the London Marathon Foundation, they will deliver a community-focused programme that uses the platform of the Championships to create lasting change for disabled and disadvantaged young people across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Sport for Confidence Celebrates 10 Years!
This summer, Sport for Confidence CIC proudly celebrates 10 years of working across systems to break down barriers, challenge inequality, and embed inclusive access to physical activity in everyday life.
Founded in 2015, Sport for Confidence was created to bring together the expertise of occupational therapists, the physical activity workforce, and individuals with lived experience to tackle the persistent inequalities in access to physical activity and sport. From the outset, our vision has been to narrow the gap in occupational, health, and social outcomes by embedding inclusive, person-centred practice into local systems and everyday community life.
Special Olympics Great Britain
Toyota (GB) extends Official Mobility Partnership with Special Olympics GB
Toyota (GB) has reinforced its support for inclusive, grassroots sport by extending its Official Mobility Partner agreement with the charity Special Olympics Great Britain (GB) for a further two years.
Prior to this national partnership, Toyota has had a longstanding relationship with the Special Olympics movement globally, serving as a regional partner for Special Olympics Europe Eurasia since 2020 and a global partner of Special Olympics International since 2017.
Toyota’s partnership with Special Olympics GB, established in 2023, has made a significant impact in helping transform the lives of people with intellectual (learning) disabilities.
WheelPower
Learn to Curl with WheelPower and British Curling
WheelPower is proud to partner with British Curling to host our first-ever ‘Learn to Curl’ event – a fun and inclusive introduction to the sport of wheelchair curling.
This exciting event is open to wheelchair users aged 16 and over who are keen to try something new. No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go! Whether you’re curious about the sport, looking for a new recreational activity, or dreaming of becoming a Paralympian, we’d love to welcome you to the rink.

NGB Opportunity: Sense call for new NGBs partnerships to develop Sensory Sport programme
Sport England System Partners, Sense, are currently exploring partnership opportunities with NGBs to expand their Sensory Sport offer – a programme that reimagines how traditional sports are delivered for disabled people with complex needs, in a more meaningful way.
Having established Sensory Tennis, Football, Snooker, Badminton and Rounders with their respective NGB’s and engaged over 600 new participants across 25 sessions, they are looking to develop their award-winning programme with new NGBs, building new participation pathways, upskilling their workforce and reaching even more new players across the country.
LimbPower
Join LimbPower, the National Disability Sport Organisation supporting amputees and individuals with limb difference, for a full day of free live online exercise classes and exciting fitness challenges on Wednesday 24 September, in celebration of National Fitness Day 2025.
National Fitness Day, led by ukactive, is the UK’s largest celebration of physical activity. This year’s theme, ‘Powered by You!’, highlights the vital role movement plays in improving physical and mental wellbeing. LimbPower is proud to champion this message by offering a bespoke programme designed to meet the diverse needs of its community.
Disability Sports Coach
Our Community Clubs for disabled people in London return next week after the summer break. Community Clubs bring disabled people aged eight and up together to get active, make friends and feel part of the community. Each session is multi-sport and delivered by specialist coaches, so everyone is welcome.
