Disability Sports Organisations and charities are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Sport for Confidence

Sport For Confidence joins forces with Digital Essex to tackle digital exclusion

Sport for Confidence CIC is one of several community-based organisations appointed to work with Digital Essex, part of Essex County Council, to tackle digital exclusion, through targeted digital skills development. 

The project, titled: The Shared Return on Investment Research Project, has been made possible through a £375,000 grant from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), awarded through the Government’s Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund.

Disability Sports Coach

New disabled girls’ football club in Wandsworth

Disability Sports Coach are very excited to have just launched a brand new Community Club for disabled girls in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Young girls and women can lack confidence when it comes to sport; they may feel self-conscious; worried about their body image or be unsure of their abilities. For disabled girls these issues are magnified. Our free inclusive movement club in the London Borough of Wandsworth means disabled girls can get active with confidence - and without judgement. Sessions run every Thursday from 4.30pm to 6pm.  

British Blind Sport

McDonald's Fun Football Sessions

We are delighted to be working with McDonald's Fun Football again this year to bring blind and partially sighted football sessions to various locations across the country for children aged 5-11. Upcoming venues include Bristol, Leeds and Warwick.

WheelPower

Learn to Play Badminton with WheelPower

Try badminton in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment! Join us for 'Learn to' day designed for anyone with a physical disability aged 8+.  This session will include all professional coaching from our friends at Badminton England – plus equipment (specialised badminton wheelchairs available) – or you can use your own chair if you prefer.

UK Deaf Sport

Thank you to everyone who supported our DeaflympicsGB team to go to the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics. The team achieved a fantastic 12 medals.

Healthy habits to start 2026

We're beginning 2026 with a fresh focus on healthy living. By popular demand, we're excited to expand our exercise classes for disabled people with complex needs, in partnership with Brand Inc Fitness

Between January and March, five additional Sense services will have access to online fitness and exercise activities and classes, at any time, making it easier for everyone to be active and build healthy routines.
