New infographics set to bring Play, Move, Belong report to life
Activity Alliance has released a new series of infographics highlighting key findings from its Play, Move, Belong report which explores how young disabled people experience sports and activities.
Published in November 2025, the Play, Move, Belong study explores young disabled and non-disabled people’s experiences and perceptions of sport and physical activity across the UK. The research surveyed over 1,000 children and young people aged 5–16, alongside their parents or caregivers, and reveals persistent inequalities in access to activity opportunities and the confidence to take part.
The new infographics turn that research into clear, accessible documents, helping audiences quickly understand the barriers, motivations and opportunities that shape participation. They spotlight issues such as lower activity levels among young disabled people, confidence challenges, and the importance of inclusive, welcoming environments where young people feel they belong.
You can dowload the four infographics below by clicking on each title, they focus on:
- Disabled girls
- Young disabled people from low social grades
- Young disabled people with mental health problems
- Young people with multiple impairments
The aim of each is to support organisations to make more informed decisions and encourage action to create inclusive activity opportunities.
By bringing the evidence to life it is hoped the infographics will help people to use the Play, Move, Belong findings to improve experiences and outcomes for young disabled people across sport and physical activity.
