Activity Alliance achieves Disability Confident Leader status
Activity Alliance is proud to announce that we have been awarded Disability Confident Leader status (Level 3). This is the highest level of the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
The Disability Confident scheme recognises employers who are committed to creating inclusive workplaces where disabled people and those with long-term health conditions can thrive. Achieving Level 3 status demonstrates that Activity Alliance is not only committed to disability inclusion, but that we are actively leading the way and supporting others to do the same.
As a Disability Confident Leader, Activity Alliance has demonstrated that we:
- Actively recruit and retain disabled people and people with long-term health conditions
- Provide inclusive and accessible recruitment processes
- Offer workplace adjustments and flexible working opportunities
- Promote a culture where disabled colleagues feel valued and supported
- Champion disability inclusion beyond our own organisation
This achievement reflects our long-standing commitment to ensure everyone feels they belong in sports and activities, as well as within our own workforce. We believe that disabled people should feel they belong within leadership, governance and decision-making roles.
