Your chance to race with David Weir at inaugural Para Triathlon
Have you got what it takes to race alongside the winner of six Paralympic gold medals? This summer David Weir is looking to build a 'dream team' to join him in taking on the inaugural Para Triathlon.
Para Triathlon is a new mass participation event that offers a level to suit everyone. So whether you count a 5k run as a rest day, or your speciality ‘sport’ is playing Xbox, there’s one for you. And if you thrive on team spirit, you can invite friends, family and colleagues to face the challenge with you as part of a relay team.
To celebrate this new event, six-time Paralympic Champion David Weir has launched new competition to find two people to form a relay team with him and take on the 'Sprint Para Tri Relay'. Weir hopes the competition will help inspire people to take up this new sport. He said:
'I’m looking for great team spirit rather than great athletes. Tell me your story for your chance to join my Dream Team.'

For your chance to win this once in a lifetime experience, Para Tri entrants are asked to share their story and describe why they have the spirit to be on Team Weir. The competition deadline is 30 April 2015.
The inaugural Para Triathlon will take place on Sunday 9 August at the London 2012 rowing venue Dorney Lake, Windsor. There will be six races for amateur and professional athletes of all abilities.
