Increasing opportunities through Rebound Therapy training
Activity Alliance is pleased to be working with Rebound Therapy to support more inclusive physical activity opportunities across schools, clubs and community settings.
Rebound Therapy uses trampolines to support movement, balance, coordination and sensory development. It provides a fun and engaging way for disabled children, young people and adults with a range of impairments or long-term health conditions to take part in physical activity.
Training is available through both in-person and online courses, helping a wide range of professionals including teachers, therapists, coaches and community staff to gain the skills and confidence to deliver sessions safely in their own settings.
When booking a course, simply quote ‘Activity Alliance’ and a donation will be made to Activity Alliance at no additional cost to you. By doing so, you are directly supporting our work as well as accessing the course.
This work comes at an important time. Our Play, Move, Belong research showed that only 3% of young disabled people are considered ‘active’, and just one in four can take part in school sport and physical activity all of the time. At the same time, enjoyment remains one of the strongest motivators for taking part.
Helen Derby, Strategic Lead – Programmes at Activity Alliance said:
“I was lucky enough to deliver Rebound Therapy in a previous role in a school, and absolutely loved it. It’s such a fun and inclusive way to support young people to be active, whatever their needs.
“That’s why we’re really pleased to be working with Rebound Therapy to help more people access high-quality training and create more opportunities for disabled people to take part in physical activity.’”
Rebound Therapy offers an approach that is both inclusive and enjoyable, helping to create positive experiences of being active. You can book an in person course or an online course on the Activity Alliance Learning Hub.
