Disability Sports Organisations and charities are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Cerebral Palsy Sport 

Together we can Young Ambassador Programme 

Together We Can is a youth‑led programme that brings young people with cerebral palsy together to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and use their voices to make a real difference in sport and society. Sense 

Decathlon Names Sense as its 2026 UK Charity Partner of the Year 

Decathlon UK has announced Sense as its incoming Charity of the Year for 2026, joining existing partners ParkPlay and Planet Patrol as part of a growing portfolio of charity partners. 

Through this partnership, Decathlon and Sense will work together to promote inclusive access to sport, and raise vital funds to help break down barriers alongside disabled people with complex needs in communities across the UK. 

Special Olympics Great Britain

Special Olympics GB releases new Development Plans for Tier One Sports 

Special Olympics GB has released a further six sports development plans as part of its long-term strategy to grow and enhance sporting opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities across the country.  

Following the previous publication of development plans for basketball, table tennis, badminton and tennis, Special Olympics GB has now launched new plans for developing its offering in alpine skiing, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, swimming, athletics and boccia.  

Access Sport

Access Sport and The FA Launch New Disability Volunteering Pathway in Grassroots Football 

Access Sport has announced it is working in partnership with The Football Association to strengthen disability inclusion in grassroots football through volunteering. 

Launched in April 2026, this two‑year project is designed to grow and diversify the network of volunteers who support the delivery of grassroots football.

Try wheelchair padel in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment! Join us for a free taster session designed for physically disabled children, young people, and adults who would like to discover one of the fastest growing sports in the world. No previous experience is needed.

UK Deaf Sport 

UK Deaf Sport announce audiogram partnership with Boots Hearingcare 

GB Deaf Footballer Macie White and GB Deaf Swimmer Bethany Gamble received their free audiograms at the launch of UK Deaf Sport’s partnership with Boots Hearingcare. This fantastic new partnership will see Boots Hearingcare offer free audiograms to deaf athletes, allowing them to compete internationally for Great Britain.
