Watch: Inclusive Learning Principles in action
Missed our webinar on the Inclusive Learning Principles? You can now watch the recording and hear how organisations across the sport and physical activity sector are putting them into practice.
On 10 September, Activity Alliance brought together partners from across the sport and physical activity sector for a webinar exploring what inclusive learning looks like in practice.
Hosted by Activity Alliance, the session brought together Active Partnerships National Organisation, CIMSPA, Sport England, UK Coaching and UK Sport to share practical experiences of using the Inclusive Learning Principles and discuss how organisations can take the next steps towards more inclusive learning.
Rather than simply revisiting the principles, the webinar focused on what happens when organisations start putting them into action.
Speakers shared examples of how they are using the Inclusive Learning Principles in their own work, alongside practical ideas and quick wins that other organisations can take away.
The session explored:
- How organisations are using the principles in their work.
- Practical examples, challenges and lessons learned.
- How inclusive learning can contribute to a more diverse sport and physical activity workforce.
- How the principles can be applied across different types of learning and development, not just eLearning.
- How organisations can use the Inclusive Learning Principles self-assessment tool to review their own approach.
- Questions and challenges from participants during a live Q&A.
The discussion highlighted the importance of moving beyond simply understanding inclusive learning and considering how the principles can be put into practice across organisations.
If you missed the session, or would like to revisit the discussion and practical examples shared, you can now watch the full recording.

The recording is particularly useful for anyone working in learning and development, workforce development, training, education or inclusion, as well as those supporting the wider sport and physical activity workforce.
The Inclusive Learning Principles are designed to help organisations make learning more accessible and empowering for disabled people. The webinar provided an opportunity to see how organisations across the sector are beginning to turn those principles into practical action.
