Great Britain Deaf Football- men and women join forces

On Saturday 18 January 2014, the representatives of Great Britain Deaf Men’s football (GBDMF) and Great Britain Deaf Women’s Football (GBDWF) ratified a merger to establish one football body. Now, Great Britain Deaf Football (GBDF) is to take overall responsibility of managing all of Great Britain’s men and women teams.

Having a single Great Britain Deaf Football organisation will enable all of the teams to work together to make better use of resources, share ideas and develop Great Britain Deaf Football further. It will also enable Great Britain Deaf Football to have one united voice to further the aims and achievements of Deaf football in Great Britain.

A new and exciting era beckons for Great Britain Deaf Football as they look to maintain, develop and forge robust partnerships with all relevant bodies relating to Deaf football. They want to ensure that Great Britain Deaf Football is in position to compete against the best for years to come.
