They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Sport for Confidence – 6 June
Sport for Confidence, in partnership with Teesside University, has secured £15,000 in funding from the Elizabeth Casson Trust on behalf of the MovingOTs community to develop a suite of digital resources that will pave the way for Occupational Therapy (OT) courses to integrate physical activity into OT practice. This initiative marks a major step in addressing health inequalities and advancing occupational justice by equipping OTs with the tools they need to use physical activity as a core therapeutic intervention.
Disability Sports Coach - June
Community clubs and online sessions
Disability Sports Coach community clubs bring disabled people together each week to get active, meet friends, and feel part of a supportive community. Clubs are pan-disability, held weekly at leisure centres across London, and involve inclusive sports, delivered by specialist coaches. They close during the summer holidays, so we'd love to welcome more people before they break up and reopen in September.

Special Olympics GB Launches 2024 Impact Report During Learning Disability Awareness Week
As Learning Disability Awareness Week begins, Special Olympics Great Britain (GB) is proud to release its 2024 Impact Report, showcasing a year of achievement, and inclusion for children and adults with intellectual (learning) disabilities through the power of sport.
In a landmark year that saw the charity host its first-ever National Winter Games — featuring alpine skiing and figure skating competitions in Folgaria, Italy — Special Olympics GB provided sporting opportunities to an impressive 12,666 athletes across the UK.

The Dwarf Sports National Games 2025 was a weekend filled with competition, achievement, and heartwarming moments. Athletes from across the country came together not only to compete but to inspire—and among the many highlights were the prestigious awards that celebrate both sporting excellence and the true spirit of the games.
UK Deaf Sport – 25 June
UK Deaf Sport appoints four new members to the board of directors
UK Deaf Sport further strengthened its board last week with the appointment of four new board members, taking the number of current members to 12.
The board meets quarterly throughout the year, with sub-committees also meeting at intervals in between and five advisory panels supporting their work.
